Mary Malinda "Linda" Camell

Mary Malinda "Linda" Camell slipped away peacefully in her home April 15, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimers.

Linda was the oldest daughter of Noel and Helen Ball.  Linda graduated from El Dorado High School, where she was a very proud majorette.  After graduation, Linda worked for Lion Oil Company.  At the age of 20, she married Maurice Camell, to whom she became a loving and devoted wife for 65 years. Linda was the proud mother of four children.  She was a lovely example of what a wife and mother should be.  She could also chase you down if you did not behave properly.

Later in life Linda and her husband became winter Texans, where they had a home for 25 years.  She was a golfer, a mahjong player, an artist, a gardener and a marvelous cook.  She had a deep devotion and relationship with the Lord our God.  Linda was a long time member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine Dianne Camell, her husband, Maurice Camell, and her brother, Bill Ball.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Marisa Ensminger (Randy) of Little Rock, son, Reece Camell of El Dorado, daughter, Angela Wilkinson (Clay) of Hernando, MS; four grandchildren, Jacob Camell of El Dorado, Zach Camell of Memphis, TN, Meryl Ensminger of Rogers, AR and Isbel Ensminger of New York, NY.  She is also survived by three great grandchildren, Jay, Michael and Soloman, as well as two sisters, Dorothy Self and Cindy Mixer, and two sister-in-laws, Juanice Holloway and Janice Long.

We would like to thank her son Reece, Tica Mason and Tammy Singleton, along with Hospice for their daily home care.

There will be a private graveside service for Linda.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimers Foundation or to the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
