Description South Arkansas Community College is accepting applications for a qualified individual to serve in a dual position as Accommodative Learning Specialist and also as an Advisor in the Carl Perkins grant program.

Accommodative Learning Specialist
One half of the position (20 hours per week) will be spent as a 12-month Accommodative Learning Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Student Support Services, this position will work closely with students identified as having other abilities who are pursuing accommodations.

The other half of the position (20 hours per week) will be spent as a 12-month advisor with the Carl Perkins grant program. Reporting to the Vice President of Student Services for this portion of the position, the advisor will work with Career and Technical Education (CTE) students, especially those identified as special populations; faculty/staff; and business/industry to implement annual Perkins activities. The advisor portion of the position is funded from year to year by the Carl Perkins grant program.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in counseling, rehabilitation science, sociology, psychology, or related field. Ability to use computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate effectively with others. Three years’ experience in student services within higher education preferred. Experience maintaining accurate records and ability to handle multiple tasks is preferred.

Annual Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications. An excellent benefits package is available.

Run the vehicle through the wash once a week on the way in from the route at the designated wash port
Demonstrate internal and external customer service
Maintain a clean working environment keeping the vehicle free from debris
Complete a post-trip safety inspection and communicate with manager as to ensure optimal operation of the vehicle for the following day as well as help facilitate any work needed
Complete all other end-of-day functions
Maintain extensive knowledge of geography and demographics of assigned area
Comply with all safety standards, laws, regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
